Throughout our lifetime we embark on something psychologists call the Hero’s journey. This is the quest to find our unique potential so we can live life as the best version of ourselves. When we live in this zone of authenticity, we feel happy and fulfilled.
A necessary part of this quest involves trials and tribulations. Consequently, this tends to be an open house invitation for our friend fear to join us. With any desired change, expect fear to visit. When welcomed and understood, fear can be your friend. It is the gateway to growth, greater meaning in life and happiness.
Before this journey can begin there is a call for change. This call marks the start of the Hero’s journey and can be recognised through feelings of inner unrest or dissatisfaction. It can manifest itself in boredom, fatigue, depression, or anger. Recognising these signalling emotions is your cue to accept your Hero’s journey.
A key challenge on this journey is fear. To face the fear of change, you need to ignite courage. This courage is already within you and will take you on a journey towards positive emotions, growth expanding potential, meaning, and experiencing daily happiness.
My philosophy is that we all have the potential within us to live this desired life. Somewhere along life’s journey, it has disconnected. This can result in feeling lost, confused, anxious, demotivated, low in self-esteem and confidence. The good news is that each of us can reconnect. By focusing on the potentiality within, you can unleash the real authentic self.
Your potentiality journey begins with recognising the call for change. When you decide to accept the call and proceed with courage you open the door to your unique potential, your dreams, and unknown possibilities.
I invite you to ignite courage to start your Hero’s journey.
